Description
Tali Tali paints the desert east of Kaltjiti, the country of wide open spinfex plains and long parallel sand dunes. She was born at Finke, it is her ngura waytja (home country). Through the linework and layers of vibrant colour, the vast nature of the country is suggested. This includes uneven parallels of the sandhills and long lines of mountain ranges, both strong features. The unusual colour palette of the desert country includes the soft light of early morning. Blue of the sky and soft greens of grass after rain cover the sandhills.
