Deanne was born in Alice Springs and grew up in Kenmore Park. She went to primary school in Kenmore Park and then went to Adelaide for high school. She married in Fregon and has two children, one boy and one girl. She started work at Kaltjiti Arts and says she would “love to learn more” about culture and painting.

Deanne's paintings often depicts images of the desert landscape based on the imaginative 'walka' style of artwork. The bold colours are typical of the vibrant colours of the desert much favoured by the artists of this region.

Her designs are also used in the Kaltjiti collaborative rug project, which is a cross-cultural project with traditional crafts people in Kashmir.

At the present time, Delma has moved to Alice Springs for family reasons.
